Has anyone ever had or knew/knows someone who has/had CIPN? If so, have you ever heard of it to happen years down the line, way after receiving Chemotherapy? I've read somewhere in rare cases, it can happen, 1 in a million, usually. Please tell me if anyone has ever gone through this or knew anyone who has, it's very important to me that I find this information out. Please get back asap. Thank you.
5 years after my last chemotherapy session (including cisplatin). Still 'enjoying' periodic bouts of cipn, mainly numbness, dizziness and nausea. Last few days I have started to feel a new symptom, slight burning sensations in my feet. Not very severe.
The periodic attacks can be quite unpleasant and I have discovered that there are triggered by extreme heat or cold and (strangely) by vibrations such is working with power tools. Even had an attack triggered by a drumming session.
I wonder if anybody else has had similar symptoms?
