I have know OM for about 2 1/2 years now, together 1 1/2. For about first 6 months or so we got to talk a lot on the phone, getting to know each other I guess. Past 10 months or so not so much because of his job. I feel like I know him well but do I really? Found out recently he is a little OCD, which is fine, but it made me wonder what do I NOT know about him. Not so much his past but wonder how we would get along day to day if the opportunity arose. We don't get to spend more than a couple of hours at a time together now. Would he hate it that I am messy and can't cook? Would he be adventurous or boring? I really think we would be great together. Was wondering what interesting things you guys found out as you got to know each other.

Speaking of OCD, it's kinda funny. One of the first things I found out about K was that he has a thing about vacuuming - he does it all of the time. He visited my house once when he was down here, and I told him that I'm not a dirty person but there are some things that I just don't worry about. For instance, my shoes are messy - just thrown in a section where I've got short shelves. I could have gone around cleaning everything and making it look meticulous before he came over, but I decided to let him see the real me. It was hilarious because I knew the shoe thing would bother him, and it did - he started straightening them up.

It's little things like that you will always have in a relationship. We laugh about it. I could be more organized if it bothered him that much. He said I wouldn't have to as long as I don't mind him straightening things up, which of course I wouldn't.

Other little things - he loves being outside all of the time, and I have a tendency to avoid sun exposure for long period of time because I burn if someone just says "sunshine." I like to talk through things, he has a tendency to withdraw when he's feeling threatened or insecure.

It's hard to know if you would be compatible with someone or not in an every day 24/7 type of situation when all you have ever had are snippets of time together.
