Is that how it works Well, fuck. I should have a LOT more diamonds by now :) I do like Valentines Day, but in our house it's only as commercial as we allow it to be, which is not at all.

loveis, I don't know what to say to you as I don't know your story. I imagine if I were in your position I'd be inclined to shower, shave and shine, and then wait around all evening hoping for a morsel of attention. Being a couple years out on the other side of this, I want to recommend you do fix yourself up but instead of waiting around for him, take yourself out. Go out for dinner, somewhere quiet that won't be wall to wall with couples, take a good, funny book with you and enjoy being waited on while you laugh a lot.

The sucky thing is this is what happened ALL the time. I'd be with my familiy knowing that he was all alone and I'd try so hard to compensate by texting him constantly during the holidays (even on my wedding anniversary). It's really a crazy life.

Suzy it is a crazy life and not one that I would recommend to anyone else. He actually wanted to come over on Valentine's Day....I told him I didn't feel right about it. It's just a reminder that I cannot be with the person I love.

I'm sure we could ALL tell a thousand stories of things that we have done that would blow people's minds! I look back a year ago and I don't even recognize the person I was or the things that I did. Funny how old I suddenly feel. (just turned 41 this week). But I'm no longer trying to be in the game. Hard when your personality kind of pushes you in that role (I'm usually outgoing and very fun) but I know that gets me into trouble so I'm trying to withdraw more which is just making me sad and depressed and lonely. How do we find the balance.
