He might be. Some women prefer it shaved. Men who are with a new woman also may do it to make their penis look bigger or more attractive so the woman will be more turned on. He also may be posting pictures of himself on adult sites or craigslist to attract women for sex. Guys on there are often shaved.

If he has never even trimmed it before his story doesn't make sense. Why would he suddenly trim it if he hasn't done so in 25 years. Also, if trimming made it stubbly, shaving will be even worse as evidenced by the rash. He needs to be honest with you.

The six million dollar question is, Have you asked him if he is cheating? Shaving realy dosent mean that he is cheating and it doesnt mean he isnt, it just means he shaved.
It is possible that he didnt tell you because he was embarrased. My H tryed to trim one time because he had a tiny rash and he thought shaving would help to get rid of it. It only made it worse so he ended up shaving it all off and then he was so embarrased he wouldnt tell me and when I noticed the very large rash due to the complete shave he told me what happened and I pointed and laughed, then got him some cream. Believe it or not, men do stupid things.
But no one can tell you if he is cheating or not. He is the only one who can answer that question.

How bizarre!!!! G-d only KNOWS the real reason for him shaving. I never saw THAT as one of the "signs" that a man is cheating in any magazine I've read, but anything is possible. Shaving isn't necessarily a sign of cheating. If he is cheating and the OW he's hooked up with told him she prefers her men shaved then it could be. I'm sure there are some OWs that like their men shaved and some that don't so shaving is not a definite sign that an affair is going on. I personally don't like when men shave down there. If I was having an affair I wouldn't tell the guy I wanted him to shave.

Has your H been watching more porn lately? My H shaved after seeing a guy in a porno with his privates shaved. He said he thought it looked better. I agree with what others have said. I would ask him and snoop around a little bit. There are web sites that list the signs that your spouse might be cheating. If I were you I would go to one of those sites and see if he is doing any of the other things listed then reassess the situation.

My room-mate shaved once, everything from his waist down, to get rid of crabs. It was easier than treating with Kwellada and then trying to comb nits out of the hair on his ass. Funniest thing I ever saw. The regrowth was hell. He's still pissed that I gave him that advice, lol!

Shaving or trimming when he hasn't done it before could be a sign that he is cheating or is at least thinking about it. If there are other signs like working out more, buying new clothes, new cologne, keeping his cell phone with him at all times, leaving for work earlier than usual, staying late at work more than before, changing the screen on the computer when you come in the room, leaving the room if he gets a phone call or text, picking fights as to have a reason to leave the house, snapping at you for little things...etc. then there is more of a chance that he is.

BTW, it's not always because the OW asks him to shave or trim. Some men have low self esteem and doing this makes them think that they look bigger. (It looks the same to me)

I've heard that's one of the signs, but I've heard that pretty much everything is one of the signs. So that's probably pretty meaningless.

I shaved about five years ago, which was long before I ever imagined I might have any kind of affair. I did it mostly out of curiosity; I'd heard that for women, it increased sensitivity, and figured the same might be true for men (it is). It had nothing to do with any issues I have with size; I'm quite comfortable with that.

My wife didn't like it, so I let it grow back. Then I shaved it again because we were having sex so infrequently that I didn't give a damn that she didn't like it, because I do like it. And I've kept it shaved since then. It has nothing to do with my affair status, and everything to do with the fact that I want to maximize my enjoyment of sex on those few occasions when I get to have it.

Recently shaved skin is more sensitive. There's nothing more to it than that.

try to think rationally about this.... sometimes i can be so irrational since Hs A... is there any part of you that think he's trying to impress you? or doing it for your approval? how has he been since the A was revealed? Do you feel like he's in it, fighting for it with you? I ask this because I'm thinking about my thought processes.. if i stop myself and really look at the big picture... take it all in... it usually makes more sense-becomes clearer..

my H shaves his private, but he only does it here and now... he does it because he knows that i prefer him nicely trimmed... but, with that said, it's not a regulary routine kinda thing for him.. he does trim down there like someone trims their nose hairs.. KWIM?

Just shaving your pubs all of a sudden isn't exactly an indication of any philandering.. Keep your eyes open is what I always say (not necessarily your mouth, but always your eyes.) And don't let your roller coaster of emotions and all the other garbage associated with infi. create shit in your mind that really is just that, something in your mind...

Yeah, I wouldn't say that it means anything, but just be aware. Pay attention to everything he is doing. It's not individual things that give you answers, but the sum total of all of them.

My H and I both shave. I personally do it for cleanliness...I'm not sure what his reasons are. Yes, most of the porn sites have clean shaven people, but I think the reasons for shaving are all personal and you can't make a judgement about someone based on if they shave their pubic hair. That's why the new waxing proceedure is so popular. Lots of people are doing it.
