FWS doing the work...but is it the right work?
will be 2 years in DEC for dday. she confessed and told me everything over 48 hrs
8 men in 15 months
been a hell of a trip so far for both of us.
she's been digging ...alot....really trying to figure out what happened....why it happened...why she made the choices...what mistakes she made in life prior.... a true self inventory
she looks up symptoms online and self diagnoses....
was wondering if any recoverying waywards out there can relate to her current state...her constant searching.
the latest is PYROLAURIA
before pyrolauria it was depression
before depression it was anxiety
before anxiety it was the mthfr gene mutation
before the mthfr gene mutation it was SIBO..
.before SIBO it was Candida,
before Candida it was..hell, if forgot what is was before Candida...oh year...it was lack of progesterone ....
before lack of progesterone it was something else.....

before adhd it was perimenopause
when she went to see a doc about bioidentical hormone therapy in and was convinced the solution was progesterone, the doc recommended testosterone, not progesterone....
when she went for test for candida for naturopath and was certain is was candida, the test came back negative, but they found SIBO,
when she started changing diet and taking antibiotics for SIBO she got more off the rails,...so she stopped the antibiotic without talking to her ND
when she went to the Pyschiatric ER, the MDs suggested depression.... took her a few weeks to accept that
its like its never ending...
I've asked her to lay off web diagnosing but she gets pretty obsessed about this ....
is this all part of the recovery for her or is this indicative of something else?
Is your wife looking for a medical explanation as to why she cheated, or is she just anxious and a hypochondriac? Some of the conditions you mentioned seem implausible as causes for cheating. Is she looking to understand herself OR is she avoiding dealing with her own emotional stuff by looking to pin it on something medical? If I were you, I would be looking for her to understand why she cheated but also totally own it, as in, she made a choice when she could have made healthier ones.
I am not one to search the web for a self diagnosis because I've seen so much frightening wrong and misleading information on there regarding real bona fide diseases.
Although many people do......many......and like most of them, they can't figure it out and are simply searching for answers. Its simply their personality and she is probably is at a loss.
I would go with the medical doctors diagnosis: depression. That's what he gets paid the big bucks for.
