I read a Catherine Marshall book called "Something More" and I loved it,but something in it disturbed me. She mentioned the Great White Throne judgment. As I understand it,when Christians die and go to heaven or are raptured, after a thousand years we have to stand before the Lord and listen to satan list all our sins before God,which also includes the good things we've done,but...I thought once we are forgiven,we don't have to think about our sins anymore. What's the story? Thank you in advance.

I would like to quote this passage before further studying this subject and giving my point of view:
Revelation 22:18-19New International Version (NIV)
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll."
This is why I study God's word, then carefully answer any question myself, or others might have.
Revelation 20:11-15 (NIV)
The Judgment of the Dead
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
But, notice one thing:
v12-books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life
v15- Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
This is OUR promise. We, as born again (the second birth) children of God, will be in the book of life. We will not suffer the "second" death. We are covered by the blood of Jesus!!! Once saved, always saved!!!
