Hello everyone~
I am a 17 year old student and frankly... (no offense) I was wondering if there were more people of my age out there LOL
Really, I love everyone here and you're all of great help, but I would love to meet some people of my age that also know Christ you know. It is very frustrating to see that most younger people are busy pursuing their desires whilst the true satisfaction is found in Jesus Christ. Just wondering if there are more people of my age who know this.
The church that I'm currently with also doesn't have people of my age... Which is also frustrating XD
So yeha... Anyone? :D

There are lot more people your age out there. But, you might have to connect through another website. One who doesn't concentrate on medical issues. It's great to connect with "elders". To learn from them and respect their experience, but it is great to connect with other's your own age. A little research and boldness, and you might find the right group. A good balance between the two might be where God can use you best.

True that. I totally don't mind being around people that are older than me, I mean I learn a lot. But I'd love to get in touch with some younger people indeed. I'll check out some other sites haha, thanks!

I am a little bit older than you, but I'm only 25 lol. But you are right about there not being a lot of younger, people. I am blessed in the fact that my church has all ages, and I wish I had been there as a teenager because it is important to have people your age to go connect with. There is a website called wireclub.com It is chat rooms and I know that there are religious rooms, and you can make your own if there isn't one for your age group.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh some chatrooms there are quite ehhhhh well I mean I could certainly make my own room but I have no idea what people I will bump into there LOL Uh oh xD

But, you are in control because you created the chat room.

another suggestion. are you on FB? there are groups there. and you can chat with these people. You can leave the room anytime you want. If it is not for you, you can then ignore it.

Just an idea. Join the cht room.

anyway......how do you make friends in "real" life? You join a conversation.....find out if they are talking about things like you think. Then.....stay in that conversation....get to know others....

Works in social media too.

Living in the Netherlands I understand is hard. It's not a strong country for Christianity as is all of Europe. There are strong Christian churches though. There may also be Christian groups at your college. You just need to look.

@Mary yeha I know... But I am not someone to just start something like that for some reason. I mean, I have been the leader of a community before but... I don't know, I became the leader because I was already within that community. I did find someone with whom I can talk about Christ though. He's 18 and lives in the USA.

@feellinghelpless That's very true. The Netherlands is one of the most secular countries on earth (if not the most secular). I do know churches (I know quite some churches) that are (partly) dedicated to youth and those churches are pretty big. Sadly, they are too far away from me to visit. The churches here are indeed very good. Christianity would have extinct here if they weren't haha. Evangelism really rules here. The city I will move to is the 2nd largest of my country so I am pretty sure I will find the right community there.

I'm glad to hear the Netherlands is becoming more evangelical. How soon do you move? I know you'll miss the church you're in right now, but change brings growth as you depend on God. Praying for you.

Thanks for the prayers! It is still unknown as to when I will move since the construction of the apartment building I will live in is experiencing delay. I am sure I will miss my current church but I know that I am always welcome and I will forever be part of their community. They are really like a family and I'll be sure to visit them even though I will be moving to Rotterdam haha. God decides my fate.
