Cervical cancer is a malignancy of the cervix. Worldwide, it is the second most common cancer of women. It may present with vaginal bleeding but symptoms may be absent until the cancer is in advanced stages, which has made cervical cancer the focus of intense screening efforts utilizing the Pap smear. Most people your age have hpv, so I think that it’s unlikely that your problems are hpv related (although it’s always good to check and be sure).
There are lots of things that could be causing your symptoms, most of which are benign - but annoying, for sure! Sounds like your doc is being thorough in trying to get to the bottom of it.
I always found the waiting part of things (waiting for appointments, waiting for results) to be super stressful. Gives the mind time to go to some dark places. When do you get your pap results back?
