hi celiac folks -

just a quick hello and update from the folks at dailystrength.

we\'re working on some big new features to improve your experience on the site. starting tomorrow (september 6th), you\'ll get a daily email with all the latest activity in the celiac community. (if you\'d prefer, you can turn it off by going to My Account).

we\'re also fixing tons of little issues this week, such as much easier site navigation, fixing login issues, and starting to roll out new stuff which i\'ll update y\'all on from time to time.

as always, any thoughts, comments, suggestions, complaints, whatever...i\'d love to hear em.

Hi Doug, I love this site. I am telling my friends about it.
I don\'t know if you got my msg yesterday but I goofed up on a journal response to my friend JudyL. and it kept repeating when I tried to edit, so can you erase the repeats somehow? It sure makes her first entry look weird and she was so shy about journaling that I feel bad about it. Is there an edit function I am missing for the hug and journal response areas? I am not computer saavy, so this would not be a surprise to learn.

I have tried ebay too (see ebay id 0831melissa). It is great to sell your stuff and fun at times too! But, it can be a lot of work and take time -finding something to sell, downloading pictures, making ads, etc. I have since found something much better that I can do right from home! I don't have to sell or stock items! It is an awesome company with excellent credentials. I have a free website and support, and I feel called to tell people about it because I love it! My husband is also addicted in Ebay. He makes money buying and selling coins. He is also collecting collectible china and silver stuff now that we buy from thrift stores. Sometimes, I want to try it myself too but as some of you has said, it can consume a lot of time/effort.

Yes I have this book and I still refer to it often (I've lived w/chronic pain for 9 yrs now). I follow the advice, it helps me to plan out my week so I don't overdo, and taught me how to talk to my family and friends about my chronic pain. It's been a great help to me!

I also have this book it was really really helpful. It even talks about how to analyse you day and set up a schedule of activities that will work around the times of day when you pain is worse. It talks about the emotional and family issues. In all it is a great book.

I have heard nothing but good things about this book, I have not read it, just like I never read any books on raising children. Although we have lots in common we all progress or digress at different paces.

My life is an unfinished story, so as far as my seeing if I am on schedule no way.

A friend told me about the book. So..I went to Amazon.com and bought it paperback and used for $1.99.

This book is easier to understand for the patient than some of the other books that the Dr's have recommended on PAIN.
The very next friend or family member that remarks on the pain issue is going to be loaned this book to read. My only problem is.....

I have never been very predictable. The pain has added to my total state of mystery and mystique!! LOL

Just bought it from reading your review...thanks for the recommendation. I just started reading "The Pain Chronicles". Not sure if I really like it or not yet....it's a little wordy and a little over my head.

It's a good book they have many others as well. I was in the PRC at Mayo for a month.
