Celiac Disease Support Group
Celiac disease is an auto-immune disorder of the digestive system that occurs in genetically-predisposed individuals. It is characterised by damage or flattening to all or part of the villi lining the small intestine, which interferes with the absorption of nutrients. This damage is caused by eating anything with gluten (gliadin), a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley...
I have been 100% gluten free for 15 years now. When I lost 35 lbs due to some intestinal issue, my first doctor tried to tell me, "I know you celiacs stop wanting to stick to this diet and eat good foods."
That sort of attitude is just ignorant.
Hope you feel better.
I hope you are feeling better soon. You might want to post this on the IBS site and see what answers you get there. Good luck.
(1) Appendicitis
(2) Endometriosis (would probably be cyclical)
(3) IBD (Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis)
(4) Diverticulitis (certain foods could trigger)
(5) GERD
(6) A response to something like corn or soy
(7) Lying down too quickly after eating (should stay up for 3 hours)
(8) Infection in digestive tract
Also write how reactions even the most minor ones.
Later you can look it over and find some pattern or food that is making you ill.
I forgot that one till just now. SO VERY SORRY!
I think chemnut is right about the corn. If you feel that lousy, cut it out now.
Still the food diary may help you with something less serious that is making you have low grade issues that stress your body to the point where a tiny thing extra makes you really sick.
