Celiac Disease Support Group
Celiac disease is an auto-immune disorder of the digestive system that occurs in genetically-predisposed individuals. It is characterised by damage or flattening to all or part of the villi lining the small intestine, which interferes with the absorption of nutrients. This damage is caused by eating anything with gluten (gliadin), a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley...
They can have it on their own.
The life cycle of the worm, really puts me off. Makes me feel sick.
I did not think about them growing out of control. You might just be correct.

Boy I am not happy. Have been pretty sure I am allergic to crustations. I would like to get a doctor's opinion before I say that for sure.
Had a reaction twice (my hat - much worse than gluten - believe you me) Anyway only tried it twice . About 15 -20 years ago. Prawns, lobester(sp) and crab. Swimp and muscels as well. Did not touch it again for some years.
Only had enough to make me a little sick. Had more of it, a couple of days ago and that was no fun.
Probally ate the crustations (grilled fist covered with it). Because I had enough of avoiding gluten. I don't get top marks for common sence.
As I now understand it, it can have the analeptic reaction. Only just found this out, so it will force me to see a doctor. As might need a pen?
Does anyone with Celiac Disease have an allergy to crustations? I have not seen anyone mentioning it. Would be interested in your experiences.
