new and need some advice

Hello, I've been diagnosed celiac for about a year now. I've done alot of research and what nots, I've been on the gf diet the whole time. My question is this: Have any of you found that celiac has a higher risk for stomach cancer? Have any of you talked to doctors about this? My bowel movements have been horrible lately. I'm pretty much eating barely nothing. And i'm wondering if I need further testing??

No, I've never asked about the risk of stomach cancer. Probably should, because my grandfather died from it. However, I have had lots of digestive issues. Here are the things that have helped me. GF diet, avoiding artificial sweeteners and most refined sugar, limited dairy consumption, only eating grass-fed beef, drinking kefir and kombucha, consuming fermented foods such as kimchi, etc. In addition, taking a magnesium supplement has really helped. If these things wouldn't have helped, I would have gone to my doctor about it. But these things have helped--thankfully. Best wishes to you for finding the answers to your problems.

The best thing you can do is ask your doctor about this. I do not have the knowledge to respond.

A year is NOT a long time to heal. I was still having trouble digesting food well past that. It is only natural to worry! Most of us went many years very ill while doctors wrote us off. That leaves one with a worried state of mind.
