Celiac Disease Support Group
Celiac disease is an auto-immune disorder of the digestive system that occurs in genetically-predisposed individuals. It is characterised by damage or flattening to all or part of the villi lining the small intestine, which interferes with the absorption of nutrients. This damage is caused by eating anything with gluten (gliadin), a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley...
She is gluten free for 3 weeks now, and she is not as prego looking, and is a happy, smiling, fun child to be around.
Good luck, but dont stop eating gluten products prior to seeing your doc. It will mess up the test.
Since we know Celiac is genetic, be sure to ask your doc to test both your blood, and to scope you (and do biopsy's). The sooner and more thorough he is the better!
I am looking into more serious gastro issues, I thought celiac was bad but If I have gastroparesis that is far worse then CD anyday.
