For those of you that were following my post Advice and Prayers - just wanted to let you know that Tigger passed away in my arms at 11.05 this morning 20.7.11. We went back to the vets, and they could still feel lumps in his bowels and it was highly likely it was cancerous.......he had also in the last few days developed a cold, and it was diagnosed today as Bronchitis, his immune system was failing him, so I agreed to end his suffering.
Thanks for all your advice and prayers.....I had 3 extra precious weeks with him, it wasn't long enough, wish it was a lifetime.....but he is no longer suffering......he is running free of pain and injury at Rainbow Bridge with Speckles my furbaby I lost 4 years 4 months ago and still remember. Waiting for when the time is right for me and Jane to join them and cross the bridge together.
We hadn't been on here in a while and are so very sorry to hear about the loss of Tigger. It is always so very difficult to have to make the choice you were faced with, but it truly is the most humane thing we can do when there is nothing left but the suffering. When thinking of Tigger becomes too overwhelming, I hope that you will be comforted by the wonderful memories you will carry in your heart forever of him. Know that we are here for you if needed.
"To the world Tigger may have been just a cat, but to you he was the world."
He will be always missed and loved, but never forgotten.
You remain in our thoughts and prayers and we hope that time will help to ease the pain of your loss.
