I HAVE A NEW BABY KITTEN WHOSE EYES ARE A MESS. I KEEP CLEANING THEM WITH WARM MILK BUT AS SOON AS SHE CLOSES THEM ,THEY ARE SEALED SHUT.IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO WITHOUT MAKEING A TRIP TO THE VET???

I used to bathe eyes like that with warm salt water. I don't know the ratio but salt is a antiseptic. Maybe a half tsp to a half cup of water. Be sure the water is'nt too hot. And bathe them often. And maybe a pet store might have something on hand that do'es the same thing. Check with them.

my kitty has yucky eyes too. The vet told us to give him L-lysine. That might work for you too. Our vet said it was an eyes infection

Go to the pet supply store and get some Opti-clear. Costs about $10.00. The milk may not be helping because it's a foreign substance (and pretty sticky as well). Go on-line and look up JeffersPet. They have some eye ointment that works too. Their prices are better than other on-line stores. Use the opti-clear to clean his eyes until the other stuff comes in. Don't wait on this. Eye infections are nothing to mess with.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
