Sorry, I don't have any advice but wanted to say your kitties are so cute.

I finally had to put my kitty in a spare room and shut the door. I love her but not on my head ready to play at 2 in the morning! Oh, she has plenty of toys and I put a comfy bed in there for her too.

To bluemonn29: I have thought about that, put her in another room that's comfy and setting her food/water bowl in there with her but we have two kitties and I didn't think that would be fair to put just one cat in the room and not the other. For now I just let her scratch at the door then after 10minutes or so she tires out.

I think Jackson Galaxy from My Cat From Hell on Animal Planet dealt with something like this not long along. Maybe you can look up his site and see if he has suggestions. I remember a young couple running to the bed and jumping in so they could get there before their cat. He worked out a bed for the cat next to their bed, but it was a bit higher up so the cat could see them. Maybe that's another answer.

The other thing is he had a compressed air device that when the cat passed it (right at the bedroom door) it automatically blew compressed air at the cat and the cat stopped clawing at the door at night.

Check out his site and see what he suggests. I remember him saying that cats was to be part of the family and the big important room is where the family sleeps--the bedroom. So cats want to be there with their owners.

One of my cats has his own pillow and it is goes down in the middle and he likes that pillow and he'll sleep on the bed. The other cat, his sister, has a bed on the floor right next to the bed and she likes that then comes up on the bed early in the morning.

Thanks, and I know exactly the episode. I watch Jackson Galaxy every Saturday...very good show. I've thought about the air compressor device but it seems a little mean to scare my baby...so I've been letting her scratch at the door after about 10 minutes she stops. I lay her in my daughters bed and she get the hint...

I have a problem with my jackson. He lays on my chest, and puts his paw on my mouth, telling me he wants more food, or he wants me to turn on the bathroom faucet. he drinks out of the faucet, and like an idiot, i spoil him rotten, and so now if he's thirsty, he won't go drink out of his bowl, he'll just tell "Mama", to get the heck out of bed, and turn the bathroom faucet on!! LOL!! I'm suffering from spoiling my boy!!! Hopefully my plan of playing with him more before bedtime, so he gets tired out, will prevent him from waking me up, when i really need my rest!

Hi Boo, how about a kitty water fountain and see if your kitty Boo will go for that instead of the faucet. It might help you get some sleep. I put kibbles over night in the feeding bowl so I get some sleep. In the morning, they get their wet food.

Cats seem to like repitition...they get use to the same routines...

I don't close the bedroom door unless everyone is getting TOO rambunctious in the middle of the night. If they're kittens ( it sounds like they are) they'll just have to learn not to do things like that. Words like 'stop' and 'no' are important for them to learn. My cats are always welcome in my bedroom at night. Yeah they get disruptive sometimes but mostly they behave. I consider it part of having cats. I have 4 cats, a 15 year old, an 11 year old and two 1 and a half year olds.(brother and sister).
I also find it useful because they know when Mom is supposed to get up and a couple of times I forgot to set the alarm and they made sure I woke up in time to get to work! Good Kitties!!

They are getting better. Sheeba sleeps in my daughters empty room now and Onyx on the sofa....but by 7 am they are at the bedroom door so I usually go ahead and let them in. They are pretty good now they just lay down and sleep until I get up which is soon after. And yes they are great alarm clocks...LOL

My female cat arrives about 5:00 AM--5:30 AM and she likes to climb on the chest of my nightshirt and stretch out and purr, while staring at me. I can almost hear her say "hellooooooo, any body in there? My kitty food is sooooo good, we could have some now and I'll share it with you and I think you would like it on Ritz crackers. "

I open my eyes and she gives me the adorable, sweet look and I pet her and tell her go to sleep and I put her on the bed and roll on my side and go back to sleep.
