I'm in acute distress. I had my 14 year old cat put down tonight. Last time I had a cat put down, I wailed loudly as soon as it happened. That was 6 years ago. This time, I was very quiet for the whole ordeal, but I'm totally distressed. I have to tell myself she's at peace now.

Thanks for your replies. I was worried on Tuesday night by the levels of my distress. but it's now Friday, and I'm doing a lot better. I realise it was MIssy's time to go, there was no mistake. We all die, unfortunately. I'm very very glad I was at home when she took a turn for the worse, and I'm glad I was able to stay with her to the end.

I oo have come to realise just how cruel this life is.... My Diago died on 30 July so I know how you feel. Hang in there you're not alone...

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
