Just finished two weeks of amost daily stress. Hearing moms negativity, worry, anxiety, upset,etc. Situation was serious. But moms negativity made it seem like there was no hope for anything but awful results. Spent today trying to get my extremely new, fragile sence of positivity back. Mom called a few minutes ago. Her conversation starts with - I have a problem. Thank goodness this one is easily handled. At least it should be. Then she tells me her leg hurt real bad last night. All I think is -another trip to hospital? Maybe emergency one because she will try not to go? More stress for me. Plus more of moms anxiety and negativity.
Need to get some positive thinking back. Helps make my life easier. Better for my phical and mental health.

Have you considered being "too busy" to drive to the ER. Suggest that she call an ambulance if it hurts that bad. Did wonders for dad's recent "backache".
Why do you have to force her to go if she does not want to? That is very childish of her. Perhaps let her make the actual choice. Sounds like she is playing a game with you.
But hopefully this will go away by itself. My bigest concern is my mental health and the constant stress from mom. She has constant problems lately. Minor, medium, and serious ones. And her constant worry, anxiety and negativity gets to me. Just started trying to be positive person. After hearing negative all my life.

I forget, do you have medical POA? This will let you talk to the doctor and get some serious straight answers. They can help you know what is a serious symptom and what can be ignored.
Setting limits is hard, but keep at it!
