Mom has just been saying how boring things are. I suggest things and she always says " Id rather go to a bar." Well, OK. So we went out to see a couple guys in a jazz combo whom we know from my high school years. Split a grilled cheese. She had a soft red wine and just
watched and smiled. They play standards from 40s so she knowd most of that era.
We waddled home laughing about needing to take lasix and bp meds.
Two old broads out on the town one wearing Depends the other
wearing It Depends (meaning type of material ). Mom loved that one.
I do love it when she is happy.

Back to reality tomorrow. She cant find her wedding ring.
It probably on her hand! I really forgot to check! Lol

Glad you had a good time. I wish I was closer to my mom so I could get her out more. She tends to be anxious about going out so she won't go on the community trips. Thinking about doing a big trip with her..just not sure.

Awww! That sounds so nice! it's funny you told this story. I just found out, because I just told my mom, I found out my old high school music teacher plays jazz at a restaurant with his fianc. he plays piano, and she sings.

Mom used to LOVE to go out and listen and dance to jazz!!! She was a great dancer too!

So, I told her "Well, when you get out, we'll go see them"!!

It's nice to have those moments, when you both just have some fun!

Peaceful.....that sounds like a wonderful thing you did for Mom:):) I bet she really enjoyed it. As for the wedding ring....I often lose my glasses on the top of my head.........so I can relate:):)

Wonderful! I think you two should do that more often. We are taking Mom to Outback for dinner tonight. She usually orders a screwdriver and we take her rolling rolling home!

T-jan, that makes me think about my grandma being tipsy at out to lunch with us. Guess we were "out to lunch" in every meaning.
Grandma was little so I picked her up under her arms from the chair but her legs stayed in a seat position. She kicked them like a kid splashing in water. I can still hear her giggle and everyone around us laughing.

I wish we could get that "happy" simply and safely for people.
