My Mom came rushing from her computer to say that her 89 year old brother
has been forgetting dates he should know. Such as their Mother's birthday.
She sent an FYI note to his son thinking maybe a stroke or? Because it was odd behavior.
15 minutes later she is yelling and going on. Something about her brother calling her a liar and was wrong about the dates. She storms in front of the TV I am watching and rants. (Of course I hit pause but only the TV stopped and she kept going LOL..).
It seems my cousin sent a forward of my Moms note to his Dad about the incorrect dates. Mom and Uncle are in a war over who knows what correctly.
His 89 years vs Her 87 years. Neither aware that their memory/recall is the problem not whether or not they are correct. I mean, Uncle has his mother born with Abe Lincoln :) And this is odd for him.
I tried to say maybe he has dementia Mom. Just to see how she would react actually. I did not go there about herself. She was willing to listen though. I actually described her behavior in general terms. Oddly, she calmed down. Maybe for that moment she recognized her experiences. Still called him an old F-er on her way out.
