Surgery for me

My sore shoulder (going on several years now) is a bone spur - rotator cuff issue.  So I get to do surgery soon, Tuesday next (july 19) if all goes well with my pre-op physical.



This will let me heal in time to do the scattering of ashes for my parents later in August.

I can see you being at peace moving ahead with this. But also holding your breath some because of last year.

We will hold our breath some along with you, till you are well on that healing road.

yup it is happening soon and I know you will be good to go....I just had my left one done two weeks ago and pain may never have gone over a 4 out of ten....so I know you will be around and at them again soon...I had a nerve block in the arm that had surgery and that was extremely weird....I had no use of my arm at all but could move my fingers....I wore a sling and it lasted for me about 28 or so hours....my arm out of sling just hung down and no use at all could not lift it but could use my fingers to touch things....it supposedly keeps you from having extreme pain...but for me I never got extreme pain...I too had bone spur and some other arthritic changes in joint and torn bicep tendon which later he said was shredded and all he could do was clean it up by cutting the stuff away on it....and small rotator cuff issue that he repaired....

Good luck pepper and remember no food or drink after midnight tonight so stuff yourself with snacks before bed because if surgery is in afternoon like mine you will be hungry in morning! LOL :0)

Oh no, and yes, good luck on the surgery. I hope you heal quickly with no discomfort. Saying a prayer for you Pepper....

It is there, about a 4 I guess. Not sure just how to calibrate that 1-10 pain level thing.

it is easy pepperman....1 is barely anything like my current shoulder....10 is kill me now because I am dead already! LOL

My worst 2 pains were very short lived. One was when the dental assistant went to clean out a hole in my tooth before she put the filling/plug in it. There were not supposed to be any nerves there.

Oops, through the roof. The assistant ran from the room, and the dentist came back in asking me if it was true that her assistant tried to kill me.

The second was when I had a broken arm near the wrist. They had to push the bones back in place manually. Even though they numbed me up, it hurt like an 11!
