Diane, I am so sorry! But it is so good that you were with her. And I bet your father and your brother did greet her. I hope once things calm down, you will have some peace and contentment in your life, knowing you were a good daughter and were there every step of the way for your Mom.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Knowing that it is coming does not really make it easier.

I see that you joined the bereavement group. I got excellent support there after my sister died, the people there really know the emotions.

Thanks everybody. The phone has not stopped ringing and some relatives managed to piss me off but I am hanging in there. Both my husband and my brother ARE helping with everything that needs to be done.

Yes. The actual death is not the end of it. We learned that after Dad passed.

It can be very tricky trying to prove someone is dead!

After my Dad died we wanted to shift his SS benefit to my Mom. Would you believe they told us my DAD would have to come in and sign it over!

Would have been fun to bring the box over and tell them good luck!

But hang tight. You are on the down side of the mountain now and while it mike take some time it will not be forever.
