Caring for aging parents can be a difficul time as we become the caretakers for our parents. This broad responsibility can encompass such services as assisted living, adult day care, long term care, nursing homes, hospice care, and in-home care. This takes the cake folks,
Mom was soooooo mad at me for eating some (not all) of ice cream she was saving. Day before she hated the description. She yelled and chomped her bit literally!!! Broke a tooth. That scared her so and she forgot about being p-off about the ice cream.
I replaced the whole carton and she has eaten NONE of it.
I do get one part of this. It was "Hers" and she feels displaced by me. All she feels good for is a monthly income and payment of bills. I could have prevented this (maybe) if I had asked again about eating some of it.
About the tooth, Sad thing is that she thinks this will cost 7000.00 to remove- replace with post and fake. 700.00 was estimate.
Today she is joking about ice cream and I told her it was " I Scream"..
and she was good for my diet. I am some kind of sass for sure.
Tonight is a triple movie showing at the drive-in. Asked Mom if she wanted to come along of course and she declined after see the picture of
Wolverine! :)

I go through that with my mother, she loves radishes and if I eat any I get the evil eye!
It's the fun side of living in the same house peaceful.
Sorry about the tooth though, that's expensive.
I just had a tooth removed and replaced with implant. It costs us well over $5000 after insurance paid their part.
They gave us "estimates" along the way but no one owned up to the total costs of the entire procedure. $700 sounds like the cost of the fake tooth only, not the dentist to remove the root, or the implant, or the seating of the post, or the dentist to place the fake.
So check to see if that is total costs including the oral surgeon (who usually does the removal and placement of the implant).
Now, just stop sassing you momma already!

Ah darn it, for the weather will dampen my plans for the drive-in tonight.
Hoping it clears by tomorrow and can enjoy a night out. I so need it.
As for the tooth, it broke off at gum. Just the base and root to cut out. 200. and the post and resin glued on piece... looks like a tooth. 400-500. No metal, that type of tooth is the price of a good used car.:)

My mom invented Time-outs. I use to sit in the corner in the punish chair A LOT... You're not surprised

Soap in mouth. Never had that experience but was threatened by a neighbor with it once. She made me stand and watch her child get the treatment for "what we had said" It makes me sad today as I reflect.
I guess we have and still survive our parents. Glad to get through this with all of you. The humor really helps keeps me from getting caught up in the Mama Drama.
Well, gotta go walk off some of the calories from all the treats you have all sent. Nothing like Cyber Calories and a belly to go with it!!
