Caring For Aging Parents Support Group
Caring for aging parents can be a difficul time as we become the caretakers for our parents. This broad responsibility can encompass such services as assisted living, adult day care, long term care, nursing homes, hospice care, and in-home care. Whether you have just started caring for your parents or just need a place to talk, we're here.

The ones I have now, let me bring her once or twice but that was it.
They don't like her.
Now she's in a home and nobody but me visits her. All her friends have died, and the ones that haven't won't go to see her.
We want our moms along, to see them be happy and smile, that makes us smile. But our friends don't see it that way, they want friends their own age, not our parents. It is a catch 22, either you lose your friends or hurt your mom. I gave up my friends, not sure if that was the right thing to do, but I just couldn't hurt my mom.

Good luck, and let me know how it turns out. I hope you don't lose your friends.
I would do things with your friends and do things with your mom. The only time I would mix the two is when there are more people involved like a holiday or celebration.
It sounds like your mom has her own social group where she lives so she is not lonely. I'm sure her friends would not want you around all the time either.
It makes me really sad and angry that your "friends" would stop speaking to you over something that seems so petty to me.
My Mom is welcomed wherever we go and she so enjoys getting out
