Caring for aging parents can be a difficul time as we become the caretakers for our parents. It has been some time since Mom had a fall or etc. She was leaning to far and slipped. I was around but did not see. All of a sudden there was a voice say Mrs P are you ok??
I have been able to work almost full time 5 days per week. One weekends I go out for up to 10 hours. That is huge. It took many things to get here but I decided a change was needed or we were all going to suffer.
This device will call for her if needed. Or she can push a button. A little more expense but the Home Health people gave me a coupon for it.
And they also endorse this since it calls when there are slips or fall.
I believe if no movement and device in range it also activates the system.
The range is good. Works outdoors. Of course we can not hear so they would call me and my ph is always with me.
Cant say enough about what I have been able to do in the recent months.
Tonight I may go to the Drive-in movies!! Wow. it has been almost a year since I went out to a movie. And no she does not want to go...of course I asked her. Brought her once and she hated it. So...free space for me :)
Just wanted to share so that others may think about "how" to get a litte space. Even if you just want to go outside or downstairs or to a neighbor for a few mins. You can have something in place to help.
PS. Yes she wanted to take it off at first. I told her that it was how she could continue to be independent in her home. That otherwise she would have to spend money on a "sitter." She made the choice.

YOU STILL HAVE ONE??? The last one in my city closed down ages ago.
Pep we still have a drive in in our town too! TOO much fun! I think they should be brought back!
