Im facing a big challenge,in 2 weeks,Ill be having a knee replacement,my biggest worry is hoping my angel mom will be okay without me for a few days.My grown kids and hubby are going to step it up,preparing her meals,looking out for her.However,shes only comfortable with me showering her and the more intimate details.Her balance now is so poor,that she cant walk without assistance,I watch her like a hawk,because I know a fall with a fracture could be her demise.Shes so selfless and sweet that she is just worried about me!

Your mom should be OK. Do you have a daughter? If so then she might be able to help her grandmother with the shower, if only to get her into the shower and sitting on a shower chair. (We use a plastic patio chair in our shower, but have a specific shower chair in the bath tub for my MIL.) All your mom will have to do is to be able to get into a bathing suit.
Unless your children are all boys, if that is the case disregard the above!
