Hi,my mom(94) has had loose bowels,she doesnt even feel the mess.Im so sad for her,she has so much pride and degnity.Im honored to help her clean up,however its strange how i feel as though im taking care of a toddler again.she is finally receptive to using Depends which helps.my tears still flow for her in this declining phase of life....

What does her doctor say about the incontinence? Has she had testing to find out if there's an underlying cause? Whatever the case, the depends would be a necessity.

Yeah, it's a reality we all have to face. With my mom, we just face it with a no nonsense type of attitude and laughter whenever we can...I equated it with when she first shared the tampon necessity with me.
And I go and get them for her at the store to ease her embarrassment a bit...

It's true....FIL had similar issues but it was surrounding the cancer he was struggling with before he passed away. We come into the world wearing diapers and we leave the world wearing diapers...it is the cycle of life, really. They even make diapers for dogs to wear...and that actually is a very nice and caring thing for them.
