Are you seeing this or is it just what mom says? I'm wondering because sometimes night fears set in. Everything seems worse when you are alone and it is dark. I remember my MIL was on an apap machine for a few days. She was fine when someone was with her but during the night she would wake up in a panic.

there seemed to be water but it could be from her water bottle....hmmmn?
And yes she is afraid of dark and has night lights etc..

Is there any way to elevate the head of her bed?

My mom was on oxygen the last 2 years of her life. RIP momma. Anyway she had the cpap she had to use everynight. It took her a few weeks to get use to it. She would wake up in a panic sometimes. But she kept trying and finally got use to it. Elevating her head will be helpful to mom had a sleep comfort mechanical bed and it helped her in so many different ways.

Did the oxygen people come? Did they give you a solution?

Have you looked in to her sinuses draining? My moms is on oxygen also sometimes her sinuses go from draining to just plain plugged where she is having a hard time breathing through her nose. I got prescription of nasal spray that has taken. Care of the problem.

Perhaps she could try a mask instead? Might be a little more comfortable

Sorry for the delay. Work and life often take me from computer time.
There is a place in the line that catches excess water and it has to be emptied more often. We thought it had to contain some water there and the place we fill in the machine. Some moisture is needed but I often need something more specific. Some is too vague. 2 ounces is an ex of how I think.
So I just keep a tablespoon in there and no more. So far it is working.
The company never returned my call!

Thank you for your replies. It helped me look for clues. If Mom had not been wet around the collar I may have thought she was dreaming it.

i am so glad you have found a solution!
But....the company never returned your call?!?! Change companies! There is A LOT of competition out there to provide oxygen....find a provider that will be helpful. I have dealt with companies that will send someone out within a few hours to remedy a situation.

Yep to checking the companies in the area. I am not intending to argue however will get a reason for their oversight. Since I called more than once.
