I went to visit mom at her long-term care facility yesterday.
When I came in, she was asking staff what their names were.
Then she looked at me and ask "who are you". I told her my name and it still didn't seem to click.
I told her that, I had known her for all my life.
It got a chuckle from her.
When I can make her laugh, life is good.

I remember when my grandpa got dementia. One day I walked up to the chair he was sitting in and he asked me, Ok. Which one are you? I told him I was his granddaughter. He said well I don't think I have any grandchildren but this is a pretty nice jail!
A family story we laugh our butts off over and over again
It is good when we can laugh about stuff like that.
I was glad that I wasn't laughing at mom, she was laughing along with me.
