Caring For Aging Parents Support Group
Caring for aging parents can be a difficul time as we become the caretakers for our parents. This broad responsibility can encompass such services as assisted living, adult day care, long term care, nursing homes, hospice care, and in-home care. Whether you have just started caring for your parents or just need a place to talk, we're here.
There are some things in your mother's life that are literally out of your control. To take personal responsibility is self-destructive. Whatever your mother is able to leave to your brother will be whatever it is. Again, not anything within your control.
You need to push back on your mother's demands. You can only do what is within your realm of being able to accomplish.
Maybe move far far away and change all of your contact information.
You will never be able to fix your brother and your mom will never stop trying.
Please, consider getting a lawyer for YOU. No, I do not see you at risk here, but get somebody who can advise you about steps you can make to protect yourself, and possible things your mother can do to protect her.
Gentle hugs.
