Yesterday, I took Mom on errands. As we were leaving the postal carrier handed the mail into our car.
Mom had other letter needed postage. I dropped her to the dentist and went to get stamps and etc.
You guessed what I did, right? Put ALL the mail in the box at P.O.
Mom remembers the letters and keeps asking. I told her they are not in car and not to worried because things like this turn up.
Yes, it may seem simple to just say I made a mistake and re-mailed them. They will come back says the P.O. How-some-ever, I know she will be perched at the window waiting for the carrier everyday till then. Not always a good thing because she watches the neighbors and occasionally yells blurbs of criticism their way. There have been a few times that someone will say "hey your Mom has been yelling from the window again." (when I am not there to know).
Mom has become aggressive at times. Goes with the lack of o2 territory.
So I like to think.

The aggressiveness is kinda scary though! I don't remember if she is on any meds but ids there something she could take to keep her calmer?
I know. I am usually anti meds but sometimes it would be oice to have a little help!
Hopefully your neighbors understand that mom is just being a cranky old lady. If not maybe let them know. It's good to have many eyes watching out for them.
So, sometimes we have a libation. Tough what anyone thinks about it. One glass of wine or some Moonshine cherries in a soda can take the edge off. I try to keep it to 3 days a week. See, I am counting :)
Living in the same house is not what I want to do but the arrangements were made and it is my nature to follow through. Things are a bit easier since I stopped relaying my management to other family. They pay lip service and care about any dough that may be left. Even if its a buck. So maybe one aspect of my Mom's kiss my -ass attitude has its influence. But my stress is WAY lower not keeping everyone in the loop. Besides, the lawyer made certain things were in order and said I owe nothing more than what my parents delegated to me.
So, the mail came today. I smiled and handed it to Mom. She had forgotten they were missing. LOL
