Happy Friday everyone, I'm sitting near my Mom planning my great escape. She isn't too bad on the "negative chatter" but the day is young!!
You may recall some weeks back that I was really burned out and a few of you picked up on my not going out with friends and all. So added some of this R&R into my routine, slowly. I don't always say where and what before. Just after and make it seem like I got a call while on errands. Then I take Mom the next morning to something so she has things to write in her emails to the two gal pals from the old days. Who knew I would compete with my mother to satisfy my Id (Freud) LOL
Today, I am going to ask her to the drive-in. Triple movie play for 8 bucks each person. She will say no for several reasons. 1. Does not like Sci-fi or action
2. Will be out till 3AM
3. Thinks the place smells like a swamp.
I AM going and if she says something then this will be what I have been waiting to address; Having someone over while I am out. OR she is alone with home movies and books ,relies on the alert call if needed and check emails from me. I can do this from my phone in the car. Rather than call and make noise during movie :)
So what do you have planned today in the TGIF spirit? I just am curious what others do for the "me" time whether with Mom 24/7 or away. I finally realized it came from within first. Breathing and building from that feeling in the moment. Next thing you know I was out and about. Yippie
Even if you are going through a hard time and stumble across this post, please take just a moment for yourself. Give yourself the OK to chill. Dont bother asking Mom or Dad if you are" allowed" a moment's peace. We know the answer :)

Sounds good. Maybe I'll see if my daughter will go to a movie with me this afternoon. I'm dying to see Iron Man III and really want to see it in the movies.
You have my envy on the movie front!
Would love to see the new Star-trek, can't wait for that to come out on DVD.
Mom Hubby and friend all piled in the car and went to lunch and grocery shopping.
Tomorow and Sunday we drop mom off to sit withy Dad while we go ride and see a renn fair.

Movies are pretty good. They began the first at 9:45 so around 4AM
my mind tuned out and I slept 5 minutes. Darn. Missed the last "trick"
in the Fast and Furious (car chase) movie. That is ok. Will see it again when X-Finity has it.
I use to go to the library for movie rental. Would stop by food store for healthy and not so healthy snacks. I was a really cheap date but never gave up on having them.
Yes I feel lucky to live in an area supporting this outdoor entertainment.
The setting is rural so when I here crickets and peepers (tree frogs) my tension just releases. I really miss living in the woods at my house.
I began to realize what is around me in the town where Moms place is and I am staying right now. So looking around I see there are many free things to do in the park. Movies there in summer. Or live music. Indoor free things to do that are temp controlled. I still work on Mom to go out but she uses the hot weather as a reason. It is always a reason but I con her into at least shopping so she will not get sour....well as sour :)
If I could, would take all of us to the movies. Maybe some day when we hit the Power Ball jack pot :)
