My nana has recently been put into respite care due to physical health issues. The idea was as soon as her medication was sorted and she could manage the pain she would be back home.
However.....Since being in her mental health has suddenly gone down. She is so confused and halucinating big style. The care home say she has an infection but after 5Days on anit bioctics there is no change. If any thing she has got worse. She is being vary nasty and vindictive but they dont seem to care.
Me and my mum are her main support and care givers. We are disgusted with the care she is getting, they have not helped to attend to her personal hygine since she has been in and on visiting we are having to wash her and change her..
What rights do we have to get her moved?? We kep being told now she is in a place she wont get a bed anywhere else. Its heartbreaking to see her like this and both me and my mum are at burnout.
These last 2weeks we have seen her go down, had her ring the police on us, shout at us, scream at us, cry and lash out. We cant take much more and it seems the home dont care. sorry for going on just need to get it out.

I see you are in GBR, I'm not familiar with patient rights there. Perhaps another caregiver here from GBR at DS can help.
