Trying to hold it TOGETHER!

I have been the caregiver for both parents for a long time. One now, maybe dying from a fall. My mother has never been a strong either has my brother. So it has always been me...looking out for everyone. My father's family are not decent people and they create problems everywhere they go. Now, my father has severe head trauma and maybe dying and I just dont have the streanght to deal with them and I worry about my mother because she isnt strong enough for the fight that maybe brewing. I have prayed that God remove the evil spirits within so we can do what is best. I just wanted to write as I have no one to lean on for support...please pray for me and my family!

newstart4me2 my heart goes out to you. It is so hard to deal with family issues. Especially when loved ones are involved. I know this is a lot for one person to handle. So much stress and anxiety when an illness is a major part of someone's life. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. A friendly hug sent your way.

So sorry to hear about your father. You just need to be as strong for you mother as you can be. Just take time to grieve because you deserve that . I know how you feel I take care of my parents and it can be a tough job but we learn how strong we are in these tough situations.

Im trying to hang in there. Mother cries all the time. I have been handling all the other stuff. I dont she is going to be able to live alone. She is already not taking her meds....I just dont know what to do

I'm sorry to hear about your father. You have a tough call taking care of your Mom and trying to cope with your grief. Especially, it's hard because she doesn't want to take her meds. A counseller told me in my situation let them make their own decisions. I regret how forceful I was with my mom about eating - I cared but I couldn't force her to eat.
