next...you need to do things just for you. you need to make yourself happy and stop thinking of anyone else....you have taken care of someone , and now you have to take care of yourself.
families can be who we choose, not who we marry into or who we are close to by blood.
find or make yourself a new tribe.
sometimes people run from troubles because they just are afraid...or too selfish. it doesn;t matter their reasons, forgive them, forget them and move on. don't waste your energy on them...use it for your future.

That said, we have to set boundaries. Your kids act that way because they can. Possibly you've excused it in the past.
Create your boundaries, rules, and let them know what they are.
And do NOT budge or make exceptions.
