My son (B) has Bipolar disorder, my husband (Big B) has chronic pain my grandson (Baby B) is 2 and a screamer.
B's Birthday is in 3 days. He will be 25. The way he is behaving you'ld think it was a national holiday.
Oh I forgot I've got CHF,COPD,Fibra and MPS. and Arthritis.
I always give Baby B his lunch, that way I know he will at least eat. But today he wouldn't eat the vegtable soup, he normally loves. And I gave up and told his dad (B) I gave up for him to try. He said no, he was tired of this Sh*t. .
I told everyone that someone had to go to store to get milk, juice and diapers for baby. No one offered. Finally Bg B offered to go and B told him that he better come home with a B-day present for him. Not joking either. Big B told him we can barely afford diapers (that he should at least go and get) and that was it. The fight was ON. B said he would go to his "real" mothers house for his birthday because at least she would give him the attention he deserved! He's freaking 25 years old for God's sake. Oh and she's his "real " mom only when I don't do enough to please him.
Big B is no better, he won't say anymore to B, but mutters to me under his breath how he wishes B would just die. How Baby B isn't our responsibility and for me not to try and calm him, play with him or keep him out of trouble.
Now both men (right) are taking their frustrations out on the baby. He gets into something because no one wants to watch him and gets his hands slapped. Big B is calling him a brat and saying we should have let him go to foster care. B is sitting in the dark ignoring all of us (except for slapping babys hands).
Now baby is in an uproar, Big B muttering, B going to try to feed baby pizza rolls again. Only thing poor kid ever gets if I don't fix his meals.
I hate this life, I don't want to die, I just can't see any hope anymore. This is my life and nothing will ever change.

The only advice I can give is that being in a position, no matter how cruel, awful, and unbearable...we are in that possition for a reason. According to plan. It may feel like a cruel joke, but I firmly believe all situations are meant for a purpose that will lead to good. It would seem that you are that baby's only saving grace in a house of irresponsible men. It breaks my heart that anyone could feel that way and be that cruel. But there is ALWAYS hope. Even if it's hard to see. There is always hope that you wont be doomed to the same routine forever. Take it one day at a time. And you can talk to us about anything. We are listning. And we appreciate the work you are doing. You are doing a wonderful job.
There is hope.
To make a drastic change in your life, is not easy, but sometimes it is necessary. If you should have a complete breakdown, who will look after you? Don't let your son make your life more miserable. You owe it to yourself to start caring for you!
