I posted recently that my mom didn't seem ok. She had some tests run and they said her heart and blood work were fine, no signs of stroke. But her legs and feet are still very swollen. Her heart doctor made her start taking a water pill a couple months ago but I don't think she takes it like she is supposed to because her feet are swelling again. I think another possibility for her fatigue and mental fog could be high blood pressure. Again, she has meds for that but not sure if she takes them properly. Why are old people so stubborn?

Anyway, I also found out she was taking an expensive high quality fish oil 4 times a day but then stopped for some reason back before Christmas. Now she is taking the fish oil again and seems a little better. She is still hateful and doesn't listen, but she says it helps her joints. I have never heard of fish oil helping joint pain. Heart brain and eye sure, but how could it heal arthritis? Any suggestions on things to try for swelling and pain? We have pain rubs. I just need something to get my mom moving and up out of her chair. She acts like it is a chore just to take a shower or go to the mailbox.
