This morning my wife had severe diarrhea. The mess was all over the bedroom. I cleaned up the floor first. Then I went about the task of getting her cleaned up. I was worried that I couldn't get her out of the shower, like last Saturday when I had to call 911 for help to get her out of the shower. Thankfully years ago we installed a walk in shower. Now it is a blessing. I digress. Getting her into the shower is easy. We have a shower chair so she doesn't fall. After I washed her, I had to come up with a plan to get her safely out. I pulled the wheelchair up to the shower stall and got her to sit down. The hardest part for her is getting her legs over the 6" lip on the stall. She is terrified of falling and can't stand too long before he strength wears out and she can't lift her legs that high...thus the need to be creative. If I can get her in the chair then I can get her to the bed. I am thankful I was able to do this. I got her dressed and tucked her in. I started the linen that was soiled. Now it's early in the morning and I cannot sleep. After all this I thanked my Father in heaven for her. He has been preparing me for this for the last four years.
