Good luck !
I, too live with a man who has the "me" syndrome. Unfixed injury x4 years. Turn a physically fit man into a broken man and strip him of everything he can do and you get a depressed, bitter, painful person. He always wants to know where I am or going. I HAVE no opinion on anything. I go outside just to breathe. I talk to rabbits and dogs because they are just there to make me smile. I now painfully do chores and hate getting older I'm just existing. Not one moment about ME.
Thanks for listening and thank you for talking about what you are going thru and letting me know I'm not alone.
I think a lot of people with chronic illnesses get like this. Sometimes I ask him, don't you every think about me? He doesn't seem to have empathy for me as I think his understanding and appreciation would help a lot. Anyway, take care of yourself and hang in there!
