The stroke left my husband aphasic, so our conversations are no longer really conversations, but strange and frustrating attempts to communicate....Mentally, he seems like a child, so I think I know how you feel. It is so very hard when you can no longer communicate with your spouse like you used to.

My son suffered brain damage following a road traffic accident. I yearn sometimes for a life without the stress of caring, i wouldn't be without my son but some days can be a real struggle. It is a lonely place to be but i hope you find encouragement on here as I have. People here really do care for each other x
