thinking about a career change

Has anybody else here made a career change in their 30s? I am 33 and am thinking of making a change, but I have a lot of anxiety about changing fields at this point.

I am responding to let you know that no you're not alone, I am 33 as well and I am making the same life choice. I have noticed that some of the road blocks are my insecurity and the insecurity is fueled by fear. The reoccurring thought that I have is "I am not in my twenties anymore, I don't even feel like a candidate for this change that I need".

We live in an age praising society and people like you and I need to get over that and show the world just exactly WHAT a powerhouse employee looks like in a career change.

I made a career change at 31. It was hard in the beginning, but very rewarding now. I'm still with same company. I'm looking again to make another change. So many hidden skills and talents were recognized.

Thank you LoveMeBetter and Goldielocks for the encouragement. To be honest, everyone I know personally who made a career change in their 30s or even 40s ended up being happier than they were before.
