I am a 42 yr old woman, married 21 years with 2 sons ages 13 & 18. I have been in my current position for close to 10 yrs and have been with the company for over 11 yrs. For about the past year I have really not been enjoying my job and I dread going to work. My work is starting to suffer and I feel guilty because so many people rely on me. My boss hasn't said anything to me about my performance so maybe I just feel that I am not performing at 100%. There is no room for me to advance in my position unless I get a pharmacy degree...which is not going to happen. I do not have a college degree but I make very decent money. Leaving would cause me to loose about $7K-$10K a year in salary as my experience is so restricted to the company I work for. I am also the primary insurance/benefits holder as my husbands company does not offer any. I am in pharmacy operations for a chain pharmacy and assist the VP of pharmacy. I took a week long vacation last week, first time in years that I have done this. I went on a cruise with my mom and sisters thinking it would help me clear my head and get me back into the swing of things at work, but it has only made me realize I really don't want to do this anymore. My youngest son has ADHD/ODD so I have school issues to deal with at times and my boss is very understanding of this and always tells me to go take care of it, family comes first. I really like my boss and would feel terrible if I left but I feel like I am going insane here! Any suggestions as to what i can do to try to get back on track?

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

billwfriend-Wasn't game 6 awesome?! I'm so tired from being up so late watching it. Thank goodness the Cardinals came through. My husband and son are routing for the Rangers and keep giving me crap for cheering the Cardinals.
