I used to work for one. There's not much you can do about the stress. You just have to look to the end of the week and the check you'll get for working it. And when it's really hard, come home like I do and read about how tough it is to get a job. I'm in another high stress job and this is the only thing that keeps me coming back. That and I'm nearing the end of my work life.

I used to work in a high-volume call center. During lunch breaks, I went on short walks, but I have to admit that was more to get away from my co-workers than as stress relief from the actual work. I liked the work itself. Nearly all of my co-workers were Mexican nationals living illegally in San Diego, and they were extremely toxic people. In order to force Americans out of their jobs at the company, the Mexicans would make prank phone calls complaining to supervisors about the American workers, and would do nasty things like take a key and drag it along the sides of their cars and slash their tires with knives. I was one of the last Americans to work for the company before I finally quit. The company is now entirely Mexican illegals except for the company executives who make the big money.

My advice to you is this: stay with the company no matter what, at least until you have a sure-thing job with another company lined up, and then give your two-weeks notice. Leave your present employer with a good impression of you, because in the future you will want to list them on your resume and job applications.

Hang in there. You're going to be fine so long as you make a plan.

Same is true in UK. Most of our Call Centres are either based in India or staffed predominately by Eastern Europeans or Spanish/Italian Women who don't understand my Northern Ireland accent. More often than not I have to rely on the phonetic alphabet to spell words.

the mexicans doing that got some damn nerve that is not helping their cause for freedom, education, and equality. i am not kidding the illegals got the nerve to have an attitude when your at the bottom i mean bottom of the barrel than the rest of us!

i have seen stupid shit they do to people and laugh like it is funny. most people i knew or have met told me they don't wanna work with mexicans well the ones with the nasty attitudes, i mean can you blame them? the company is entirely mexican illegals? i am not surprised a lot of places are like that here in AZ. who wants to go there for service and they have an attitude towards you? ur the ones who want to work for pennies on the dollar so why are you so upset?
