I smoke alone, as I don't trust people on the whole. I have had a few experiences where I was cool with smoking with some people, then they invite newbies and it messes up the mood. Either the newbie was a downer, a kid looking only to get high, or a snitch who was waiting on the cops ( I ran before they arrived, thank goodness). Because of being burned so many times, it takes me time to trust others. The people that I have smoked with are cool but we live too far away and I don't want to drive high or impose on their hospitality every time we get together. I don't like hanging out with others who drink a lot or do other drugs... they freak me out with their heightened levels of anxiety and unpredicability. Weed DOES NOT seem to mellow them out either.

I can't stand to be around those people that never seem to mellow no matter what. This one girl sometimes actually seemed to get MAD because we were still passing the bowl to her!! The more I think of it, the more I feel like that was a brush with major psychoness.

Wolfie and I are extremely blessed to have some good homies that aren't a buzzkill. I didn't realize how rare that was until I tried to live somewhere else and get some new friends to hang with. Total disaster to make a long story short. Everyone was psycho, or selfish, or a secret druggie, and often trying to steal other people's stash.

Now we are back home, and I'm catching up with my homies finally! It's really too bad that so many people seem to really miss the point because we're missing out on how it used to be before I was born I guess, or at least when I was too little to know anything about Cannabis really. Back when more people shared and gave a damn about not blowing the buzz of everyone in a 5 mile radius.

I guess what it comes down to is this............somewhere along the line, the younger generations started thinking it was all about just trying to push the envelope and that's all they see. They are completely unaware of any concept of integrity or friendship between stoners. And this "War on Drugs" bullshit is partly to blame for that because they're getting to the kids with the propaganda first and giving them the whole wrong idea. They think that weed will kill them and that it's the same as doing street drugs or having a pharm party so of course they're missing out on the bigger picture, trying Cannabis for all the wrong reasons, in combinations with all the wrong substances, and growing up with a crappy attitude in general and becoming the young adult jerks that we meet today.

I think that if the United States legalized or decriminalized larger amounts of marijuana that people, on the whole, would be less psychotic and there would be more get togethers with calmer, cool-headed people. Most states in the US could use extra revenue by taxing it and we could put some of the shady pharmaceutical companies out of business so they wouldn't have to keep poisoning so many people and driving them to bankruptcy. I have friends that would not want to have MJ taxed, but I would personally rather go buy weed at my local convienence store that cigarettes.... plus, I would have the possibility of trying more and different strands. I can just see so many more positives than negatives to the debate to legalize/decriminalize in this country. Just my two cents.
