Have you been diagnosed by someone else or did you self-diagnose? What are your symptoms? What treatments have you used -- and more importantly have they helped?
Yes, and I was losing weight too! My Blood work came in perfect, just after a couple of months and 30 pounds off. Then...I had a bad case of the runs, for three weeks and had to suspend the diet. I had so much energy. Need to do it again. No carbs whatsoever. No milk, no bread, no rice, sugar, etc. This feeds the Candida. The frst three days were awful, as if the Candida was doing a strike against my body. I persisted, and after the third day, it was so much easier.
Wake up in the morning and take a glass of Green Magma with my meds. This drink really helps. Then a bit later for lunch, I have either green veg/carrot juice or grilled salmon with salad and lots of raw garlic. Garlic is an anti fungal agent. I also buy this organic veggie/fruit bottle and use it as a drink, when I get hungry, especially during the first week. Then for dinner I have a lean piece of meat and lightly teamed vegetables. If hungry later, I juice veggies/carrots again! Squeeze a lemon and it will taste so much better. I add some Oil of Oregano tomy water, Caprylic Acid, Acydophilus, Yogurts (make them at home), seeds (sunflower, pumkin), nuts, (almonds, Walnuts), and ahh, Coconut oil (organic), definetely anti fungal. Main thing is to eat clean consistently,(green, lean and colorful). No Fruits except Granny Smiths apples, and take your acidophylus

The fungus lives off carbs (sugar), in any form. It also does well when we do not have enough of our good flora in our digestive system. It made my body acidic, and all of these conditions are presursors to Cancer. I followed this diet so well for the first two months, until I got sick, because of food posoning.
I have to start over again, In the beginning is hard, just think the fungus is the one doing battle, but after the third day it kind of gives in and it is so much easier.
Taditional doctors are usually not too good dealing with this, at least this has been my experience. I go to an MD with a twist, she is into alternative medicine, balancing hormones, herbals, juicing vegetables and looking for overall body balance. I think she calls this Functional Medicine. Hope this helps.
Hi everyone,
I just found this message board recently. Cliffenstein, I just wanted to say "Thank You" for starting it. I have been struggling with candida since I was in my early 20s and I'm 38 so this has been going on for a long time for me. My primary doctor never even mentioned candida. I had to become my own detective and figure it out. But, I did get the help of a specialist who deals with candida and he told me that's what he believes I have. Previously, for years I thought it was related to having a horrible sleep problem (which I do have sleep apnea). In recent years it's gotten so bad that I can barely function at work. I can't concentrate and my memory is horrible. I also nod off, yawn and feel anxious all day.
I've been on a candida diet and take a medication to destroy the candida for about a month and half now. Slowly but surely I'm starting to feel a little relief. Today I felt tired as hell. But I felt a little more alert than normal. I believe that the healing process is just that, a process of getting better and I'm taking it one day at a time.

I have been having unexplained neurological symptoms for 15 years,,, and started to have feminine problems shortly after..but the drs i saw/see didn't connect the two and they still don't ... i tried every over the counter feminine product, antibiotics and nothing helped it only worsened it...7 years ago my mom made a blessed mistake and called a nutritonalist instead of naturopath and shortly after i was on the four point plan/diet/supplements/antifungal/probiotics i have regained some of the functions i have had since i began seeing a neurologist so with no embarrassment i can say that i am actually yeast free thank gosh lol and my health is improving slowly but it is still making progress which is a good thing
Can you please tell me what "the four point/plan diet/supplements/antifungal/probiotics diet consist of?"
I am trying to stick to no carb diet, and adding supplements but would like to see what worked for you.
Thanks

you can't replace a nutritionalist or a dr that specializes in candida or any professional regarding any disorder
Hi Christopher, I will answer your MEDICATION post here. It will be much simpler :) . The anti fungals I have listed above I was only using one herb/at a time and rotating every two weeks this program I was on only lasted 4 months I slowly introduced foods after
but I strongly recommend seeing a person who specializes in candida ,, only because I don't want people to take my uneducated opinions or advice and become more sick :D
also NO to deli meats for the diet *o^
for the garlic capsules some anti candida drs are for it and others are against them it is powerful but I ve read that it kills what you don t want and what you do want
I have had thrush since childhood, and when I brought it to the attention of a Veterans Administration Hospital doctor, he told me that thrush was a women's problem, and that men don't get thrush. I showed him my tongue and asked what the white growth on it was, but he just turned his head away from me and started talking about when I should make my next appointment. VA doctors are morons. I never showed up at my next appointment with them and I will never return to a VA hospital or medical clinic for any reason.
I will be making an appointment soon to see a private doctor about thrush. I really need to get this condition treated, because it is unpleasant to look at and unpleasant to taste. Also, the candida fungus that causes thrush can cause athlete's foot, with the odor and the itching and the yellow nails.
My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
