You can contact an OMBUDSMAN. I will add the number at a later date. you can also Google the number by adding C.P.S. OMBUDSMAN. they will look into any concerns you have about social workers and such that are not doing their jobs properly. Sadly they can not help with crooked GAL's/CASA's. Make sure you document EVERYTHING any phone calls appointments classes etc that have to do with your case. Google how to beat C.P.S. a ton of helpful websites will pop up with tons of useful information. record conversations if at all possible. make sure you look up your city's law on recording conversations. Print it out to keep as a reference. also read up on your rights and amendments that C.P.S must follow. they like to cross lines and can be very manipulative. be very careful of what you say and how you say it. they twist words and make up stories. I will add more info later and anyone is welcome to add any helpful tips they have.

If you have to do visitations you can have friends and family members do a background check to facilitate the visits. also if your child is removed from your care and they want to put them in "temporary" foster care , friends and family that pass a background check and have a suitable home for your child, they can be a placement option. but get as many applicants in as possible in case they pull something from their childhood and try to rule them out.

If you are going to do a temporary family placement, make sure that family member knows what is required of them and make sure.. completely sure that they are willing to do it. Also it is always best to have a back up temp home. my sister was supposed to take my son, had this arranged for months now,just confirmed it was still ok three days ago. she said "ya of course. he's my nephew".She changed her mind today. Now my son is a burden and I should have made sure she had time for him . So people can change their minds just like that. Always have a backup.. I do not.
