Bullying Support Group
Bullying is the act of intentionally causing harm to others, through verbal harassment, physical assault, or other more subtle methods of coercion such as manipulation. Bullying can be defined in many different ways, but one thing is clear: no one deserves to be bullied. If you or someone you know is coping with bullying, this is the place to share your feelings and get...
I saw your other comment about getting your son a cell phone so he can communicate with you. That's a great idea...and your notes to him will keep him inspired! Plus, you've given him the option of switching schools if he wants. As a survivor of bullying, I believe having options is key so that the child knows the situation is not hopeless. Your son has been through a lot (personally) and could probably benefit from some kind of counseling. I'm thinking maybe group counseling so he doesn't feel so alone in his grieving? Check your county and see what's offered for free. You're obviously a wonderful mom who loves her boy. I wish my mom did half of the stuff your doing! ;)
I would start with the counseling and see if that helps him...but also I would let him know that having a fresh start is not running away, it's just taking a different path.

I think with my son knowing that he can defend himself with the martial arts if he needed to boosted his confidence. He has not had to use it and he hopes he never does. Also a tip for any parents with children going through the same thing another thing that helped my so. Is I wrote a letter to him every night and put it in his lunch box so halfway through the day no matter how it is going he gets my note and it is usually telling him no matter what I have his back, I love him, proud of him and he is my best friend. He loves those and even his teacher said she noticed a difference when I started doing that
