Hi. I am living in a roommate situation with my friend and his gf. I feel like they are always on my case about things, mainly cleaning up around the house. Meanwhile, they leave a mess all the time. When they ask me to clean something, I always do, as soon as I can. More and more, they get me to clean things, particularly in the washroom. It's gotten to the point where I have to wipe the toilet seat and bowl clean, and the area around the toilet clean, everytime I use it. Meanwhile, they leave hairs in the shower and sink, and floors. I mention this and they immediately raise their voices at me and refuse to communicate to me. I ask for them to communicate about other matters(mainly pertaining to general tidiness and cleanliness), and I get the same response. They tell me that I don't clean enough, and I only do when they tell me to. I have a stressful job and I am tired lots of the time, it's not like I am lazy. Basically, there is no communication, and because of that, these misunderstandings occur, and I end up being judged for what seems to be nothing. It's not until later i find out about things. For example, the latest example. Xmas Eve, my friend and his gf have ppl over for a Xmas get together. Seeing as that I live there, I join in. Me and my friend even went to grab some beers, and it gave us an opportunity to catch up because his gf doesn't seem to like him hanging out with me, even though we live together. Anyways. So we go grab beers, catch up, and head back to the house. The friends are over and as far as I understand, I am invited, so I party with them. Shortly after, I went away on a trip for 2 weeks. When I come back, I find out that the gf didn't want me to party with them, and was very upset at me. At no point did she ever communicate this at the time before or after the party. Her reasoning is that "I should know these things". I consult some friends and they say it's normal to party with your roommates and their friends, unless they say otherwise. She never said anything, my friend didn't say anything, we even went to grab beers for it, at no point did he say anything. So here I am being blamed and judged for this. Being put as "wrong". And as a result, the gf doesn't want to communicate with me. About anything. And so this will cause more space for misunderstandings and trouble. I try telling this to them, and they just raise their voice at me and tell me to go in my room. I started to stand my ground, and I think they feel threatened. They tell me to clean, so I do. When I calmly politely ask them to do the same, they say " we don't need to be reminded", but the mess remains. I don't know what to do. My friends say I should move out. I have a place I can go to, all lined up, where they will appreciate me being there, but my friend is threatening to end our friendship if I move out before the end of the lease, which is in August. So they want me to stay in this F****d up "home" for another 7 months!!!! I can move out, but it would mean that they would have to shoulder the rent and pay an extra 240dollars each. I don't want to do that to them, but at this point it seems like I don't have much choice, seeing as that my health is starting to be effected. By the way, when I brought that up to my friend, he ridiculed me and made me out to be weak and selfish. What is going on here? What should I do?
