I think you did the right thing by moving schools, and I hope that you never have to hear from her again. That girl obviously has a lot of problems.
It is unnerving starting new schools (and universities) but you'll be safe, and that's what's most important.
One thing I've learned from years of bullying is don't try to look small and stare at your shoes. Bullies feel safer going for someone that looks weaker. So hold your head up high and be comfortable as you deserve to be.
I know in the friend making department that when someone new talks to you, you start panicking about what you should say and your mind draws a blank, so try focusing all your attention on them. They have there own insecurities, so think of it as being kind by showing an interest.
That said, I hope you meet some awesome new friends and that your the teachers are responsible (and not sleep inducing. :))
