If correct you had posted about the older friend who started taking you for granted and scrutinizing your life choices. I think there is a common theme between the two situations. In both cases the issue as I see it is setting boundaries and addressing it once they are crossed. In your work situation, the very next time he says anything disrespectful to you, address it with him in a polite manner. If that does not work, then you go to your supervisor and/or to human resources. It will be very important that you document carefully everything he says as well as the context in which he says them. This is important because it will strengthen your case, which is especially important since this bully is enamored by the other co-workers. I was also bullied at work but never reported it until much later and my bully was never held accountable. Don't make the same mistake as me. In addition, your workplace should have policies on employee harassment. If they don't then that would be a good reason to start looking. You should have the right to a safe work environment and should never have to put up with one that is hostile.
